Telling the Time

WALT: share our learning about telling the time

Success Criteria:
  • text and some images
  • check we have the correct time
  • clear message (explanation)
Blue Hat
What did I learn? how to tell the  time because i didn't know how to tell the time
Black Hat
What did I find the most difficult? to make a pic collage about time
Green Hat
What would I do differently if I could start my learning about time again?  nothing

You have worked hard to learn to tell the time and I can see you are using your learning to help you plan your day.
In your poster you have shown a variety of times and made sure the times are correct. Your next step is to make sure your explanation is clear... how do you know it is half past 9?

Haiku deck living fossils

WALT: summarise what we read

Success Criteria:
Find the key words
Record the main ideas
Retell what we have read

What have you learned?  how to summerise because i dident know what summerising was.

Why is it important? so i can use summerising to help me read.

How are you going to use what you have learned? to help me read because i summerise lots now

What is your next learning step to summerise in all my reading.

You are working hard to include only the main ideas in your summary and using key words to help you. You can retell what has happened in a story and this shows you understand what you read.
Remember to really think about your learning, what have you done well? what is your next step? The reflective prompts are there to help you so try and answer them fully and with details. Thinking about your learning will help you to always know what your next steps are!

Kinetic and Potential Energy

WALT: create an i-movie to demonstrate kinetic and potential energy

How will we know our movie is successful?
ü   clear camera work (thinking about the sun, keeping the camera still-moving slowly, in focus)
ü   clear voices and image (volume, wind, background noises, mumbling)
ü clear message - might need to explain the images (text to match the words, is the science correct?)

Reflective Prompts:
I now know that:i now know what kinetic and potenchil energy is because before i didn't know what kinetic and potenchil energy was. Potential energy is stored anergy and kinetic energy is the energy of movement
I enjoyed: working with a group because i love working with a group and it helped my learning.
The most difficult was: planing our video because all of the other groups were doing our idea.
Working with my group was: hard because people were always stoping the ipad and saying that it was really bad and that we had to start over.

Great explanation of kinetic and potential energy and a clear message in your movie!
I am pleased that working with a group helped your learning, I know it can be tricky with people having different ideas and sometimes being a little silly. You managed yourself well! Planning can also be tricky but it helps you get a great final product.

Integrity

WALT: demonstrate integrity (The value for term 3 is: Integrity)
Task: We are going to create an i-movie.
ü We need to show an example of Integrity
ü Explain the definition of Integrity
ü Explain why our clip is demonstrating integrity
How will we know our movie is successful?
ü    up to 30 seconds long
ü   clear camera work (thinking about the sun, keeping the camera still-moving slowly, in focus)
ü    clear voices (volume, wind, background noises, mumbling)
ü clear message - might need to explain the images (text to match the words)

How do you feel about your integrity movie?   proud because we finished it really quickly
What parts of it do you particularly like and why?   the bit when me and hannah leave our clothes lying on the bench and when tom picks our clothes up

What did/do you enjoy about this your integrity movie? working with a group

You have used the success criteria and made sure your integrity movie has a great clear message.Your group showed fabulous perseverance to complete this task as I know it was tricky to make sure your movie showed what you wanted it to.
